keyman looks very impressive.
Any way to use it on Mac, or perhaps any suggestion for a Mac compatible equivalent, so that Mac and PC users can communicate with Devnagri or transliterated Sanskrit texts?

[/quote] There is no clone of Keyman available on Mac OS X. For older Mac OS, you might want to look at SILKey. A Keyman 'clone' for Linux is under development here: KMFL.
